  • Public Records: Property ownership records, permit information (when relevant to electrical work)

Important: We do NOT input sensitive personal information (credit card numbers, government IDs, confidential details) into AI platforms. Only general business information and anonymized data may be used for AI assistance.

  • Cloud Storage Services: Business records, documents, and files may be stored on secure cloud platforms (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox).

  • Email and Communication Services: Email service providers (e.g., Gmail) and messaging platforms facilitate our communications with you.

  • Website Hosting: Our website is hosted by third-party providers who may have access to website visitor data.

  • AI Platforms: General, non-sensitive business information may be processed by AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude AI) to assist with business operations. Sensitive personal information is NEVER shared with AI platforms.

All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

4.2 Legal and Regulatory Authorities

  • Municipal authorities for permit applications and electrical inspections

  • WorkSafeBC for workplace safety compliance

  • Password Protection: Access to business systems and software is password-protected and limited to authorized personnel only.

  • Secure Communications: Email and messaging communications may be encrypted where available.

  • Physical Security: Paper records containing personal information are stored in secure, locked locations.

  • Device Security: Business devices (computers, phones, tablets) are password-protected and use security software.

5.2 Limitations

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your personal information.

6. DATA RETENTION

  • Service Records: Electrical work records, permits, inspection reports, and invoices are retained for seven (7) years following service completion, as required by Canadian tax laws and BC electrical regulations.

  • Payment Records: Financial transaction records are retained for seven (7) years as required by Canadian tax laws.

  • Communication Records: Email, phone records, and messages are retained for business purposes and dispute resolution for up to three (3) years.

  • Marketing Communications: Contact information for marketing purposes is retained until you opt out or request deletion.

6.2 Secure Disposal

When personal information is no longer required, we securely dispose of it by:

  • Removing data from Jobber and other business systems
